Reaching an agreement in mediation is only half the job. The other half is actually getting it done — filling out the right forms, filing them correctly, and making sure the paperwork reflects what you agreed to. Typically, a mediator drafts a memorandum of understanding to capture the terms, but the rest gets left to the couple to figure out on their own once the mediation session ends.
At Andersen Law PC, we built our mediation practice around closing that gap. We meet with you as many times as it takes, and beyond the agreement, we coach you through completing the legal paperwork, too. We’re proud to share that our mediation team has grown to three, and includes services in Spanish.
ALPC owner and attorney Beth Andersen has extensive mediation experience going back more than a decade, and Crystal Andrade, who is available to mediate in Spanish, completed her mediation training in 2017. Meanwhile, attorney Brian Beebe recently built on his long-time focus on mediation by completing a 40-hour training.
What is Mediation?
Mediation services are different from legal advice. Where a lawyer you hire is focused on getting you the best outcome, a mediator is a neutral third party who helps you and your ex come to agreements on parenting time, child support, maintenance or spousal support, property and debt division, and other disputed issues. Get more details on how mediation works, why it’s beneficial, how to prepare and what to expect here.
Mediation in Spanish
Language shouldn’t be a barrier to resolving family law cases without litigation. Crystal offers mediation conducted in Spanish so couples who are most comfortable speaking in Spanish can confidently work through their agreements and the paperwork that follows.
