Ricki Stonecraft, Attorney

Ricki Stonecraft headshotRicki Stonecraft joined Andersen Law PC in early 2025, bringing a client-focused, holistic approach to family law and estate planning. He is experienced in litigation and specializes in protection orders at ALPC. Ricki also shares their expertise with the broader community through free family law trainings to help individuals understand their legal rights, regardless of income or access to an attorney.

Ricki began practicing law in 2023 after graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law with distinction in working for the public good. He started his legal career in public housing law, advocating for disabled clients experiencing housing instability. They later served as the Family Violence Justice Fund attorney of Boulder County, providing legal aid for families experiencing domestic violence.

Known for quickly building trust with clients, Ricki combines transparency with compassionate, goal-oriented representation. He advocates for outcomes that support safety, accountability and healing for clients and their families. Highlights include securing court-ordered therapy for a parent in a custody case involving domestic violence, preventing eviction for a survivor targeted by their abuser, and providing extra support for clients who have queer, trans children, as well as advocating for disabled clients in housing and family law matters.

Explaining their philosophy of practicing law, Ricki says: “I believe that all cases must have a holistic approach, as issues of housing stability impact marital and custody issues and vice-versa. The same goes for domestic violence impacting the mental health of all parties involved, and even thinking about drafting or revising wills and other estate planning documents impacts how people approach their family matters and, again, vice-versa.”

Ricki is a Colorado native and holds an undergraduate degree in communication studies from Colorado State University. Committed to public service, he has participated in dozens of community dialogue sessions with the Center of Deliberation to help determine the approach to various community initiatives.

Outside of work, Ricki enjoys reading, exploring all genres of film, playing “Dungeons & Dragons,” and visiting museums.
