Jian Cohen – IT Intern

Jian Cohen headshotJian Cohen joined Andersen Law PC as an information technology Intern in May 2023.

At ALPC, he applies his expertise of computer and IT services with thoroughness and creativity to help the firm efficiently provide the best experience for clients.

Largely self-taught in computer science before majoring in computer information systems at Colorado State University, Jian has been fascinated by computers since childhood and built his own before graduating high school.

“I love working with computers because there is so much to learn and do,” he said. “I always want to meet my customers’ objectives, so my motivation comes from doing outstanding work as efficiently as possible. I love doing great work and improving existing processes.”

Jian is taking on the ALPC internship as he heads into his junior year at CSU’s College of Business.

“This provided an excellent opportunity to apply my knowledge to real-world applications,” he said. “My father is a lawyer, so that’s also piqued my interest in studying how law firms employ computer technology to assist their clients.”

Jian says his key to success is believing in himself and trusting the knowledge he’s gained will help him complete any task.

Jian was adopted from China when he was 2 and grew up in Colorado. He lives in Fort Collins while attending CSU. When he’s not working on computers, he enjoys skiing. He’s also active in volunteer work and in 2022, assisted in pulling his friend who uses a wheelchair up a mountain through the nonprofit No Barriers.
