Meena Moin Afshar, Legal Assistant

Meena Moin Afshar joined Andersen Law PC in June 2026 as a legal assistant/intern, supporting the team with new client intakes, matter setup, document preparation, will signings, and legal research. She previously interned with the Maryland General Assembly, giving her early exposure to the legislative process before turning her focus to family law.

Meena is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in government and politics, with a minor in Persian studies, at the University of Maryland, College Park. She plans to attend law school after graduation and is involved in several pre-law organizations, including Kappa Omega Alpha, a pre-law fraternity, and Empowering Women in Law. 

At ALPC, she is motivated by watching clients’ worries ease once they have a plan in place thanks to guidance from the firm. The experience has confirmed her interest in becoming a family law attorney herself.

“A great transaction for me is when a client leaves feeling heard, supported, and less anxious about their legal matter,” she says. “Knowing that my guidance and assistance helped connect them with our attorneys and provided reassurance during a stressful time is the most rewarding part of my work.”

Originally from Littleton, Meena lives in College Park, Maryland, during the school year. Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, working out and staying active.
